Here’s another cop-out blog post, where I present you with a delightful travel photo and then be on my merry way. I’m congested and seem to have picked up a bug somewhere. Surely nothing to do with my unhealthy habits from the past few weeks.

Last week, Joanne, Cailin and I went tidal bore rafting in Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia. The tides from the Bay of Fundy are some of the most extreme in the world, so when the bore pushes the water back into the river we were rafting on, it creates HUGE waves. Massive. Sometimes 20 feet high.

More about all that later, but it was one of the most ridiculously fun days of summer. We got drenched, went mudsliding, scraped our knuckles clinging to the raft for dear life, and I laughed so hard my ribs and stomach were sore for days.

This is my favourite picture from the whole scene, a mini-ginger standing in the palm of Joanne’s hand. This was before the tide came in and rushed over this entire sandbar.
