Three-Line Book Review: “The Lost Girls”

I’ve decided to resume my three-line book review challenge. I hate book reviews. I like a basic synopsis and a strong reason to read or not-to-read. Also, I’m lazy as hell.

The Lost Girls: Three Friends. Four Continents. One Unconventional Detour Around the World – Jennifer Baggett, Holly C. Corbett, Amanda Pressner

I don’t identify with a lot of chick lit, but these girls are genuine and I love their stories. These three friends ditched it all and took a trip around the globe. Just one loose end: WTF happened to Jen’s soulmate Chris in Thailand, and who is the guy in the closing remarks?

Oh, love.

Weird, I just finished this last week. I liked it too, but what happened to Chris indeed? Guess we weren’t supposed to really know anything else about that love connection…

Got this for Christmas, and it has been sitting on the nightstand since, but I am really looking forward to reading it, even though, you know I’m a dude, lol.

Scott, every guy should spend some time reading books written by women, for women. You’ll be surprised at the very interesting insights ABOUT women you’ll glean from them!

    • February 25 2011

Hahaha, so true. Although I wouldn’t really pen myself into the chick lit category…

  • February 23 2011

Hmm…this book is actually on my “long book to take on a long trip” list. (There is actually only one book on this list and it’s this one). And thanks VERY much for not giving some long-winded diatribe of it…..

    • February 25 2011

It’s a heavy one, might need to ditch some other belongings for it. ;)

I LOVE the concept of a 3-line book review, and this book has been on my maybe list for a while. Good stuff, Candice!

Lol, thanks! It’s a good challenge, saying a lot with so little. I think there’s a Twitter book review thing that works the same way.
