My Map
Throughout my Internet explorations, I’ve come across many a trip or adventure I’d like to explore. Then, within a few days, the name of the place will slip my mind or I’ll completely lose some brilliant scheme I had dreamed up. Here’s some space for me to throw down ideas, plans, wishes, and more.
They will be random. They will be a combination of booze, nature, shopping, cities, small towns, camping, disco dancing, musuem lurking, architecture, hostels, beaches, bars, nacho places, beautiful men and inspiration. Let’s do this.
Greek Islands: Tentatively planned for fall 2011, two weeks of island hopping with a day or two in Athens.
Alberta: Edmonton, Banff, Jasper and more.
The Cinque Terre: Inspired by images like these.
The Global Pub Crawl
How cool would it be to recruit people for an international pub crawl? If you haven’t figured out already, I’m big into the night scene. Here are some of the boozey places in the world I’d like to visit.
The Berlin Beer Bike: Probably the only time drinking and driving is acceptable.
Munich for Octoberfest: Why do all good things seem to happen in Germany?
Spam Jam and Aloha Festivals in Hawaii: Really, an entire event dedicated to Spam.
Edinburgh for Hogmanay: Because all my New Years celebrations have been less than epic. Pam and Cailin are my partners in crime for this one.

Hello Candace,
My name is Leigh McAdam, traveler, researcher and writer for http://www.hikebiketravel.com. I started off about 6 months ago with the idea of writing and selling downloadable guides and itineraries but on January 1st I changed my focus. The guides are now free (except for an email address) to download, and they will continue to be added at a rate of 1/month which gives me the excuse to travel regularly. I am also blogging and fine tuning the website – I finally joined the twitter crowd- please consider adding me @hikebiketravel.com. I added you a few days ago too.
You’re part of a group of the friendliest people on the planet. I spent a few weeks biking in Newfoundland where the legendary hospitality of Newfoundlanders was in ample supply. In fact one woman at a B&B gave us the keys to her car on a rainy night though she didn’t know us from a hole in the ground.
I love your writing style. You twenty somethings are a force to be reckoned with – and I mean that in a very good way.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Leigh

Leigh, probably one of the greatest comments I’ve received on my blog, thank you! I’m always pleased when I hear people enjoy their NL experience, feels personal somehow. So cool how you get to form those bonds with people on the road.
Just spent some time clicking around your site and I love it! Awesome guides. Will spend more time reading. If you ever make it back to NL, look me up. Really looking forward to a trip out west sometime int he near future. I added you to Twitter awhile ago I believe, feel free to be in touch any time! Thanks!

Your list will become larger and larger the more exploring you do on the internet and on the road. At that point, you may end up just putting a picture of a map and say you’ll do the whole thing.
